THE GARDEN
The Villa’s tranquil garden ceremony space offers you a serene and picturesque setting, surrounded by lush natural foliage. Towering redwoods create a majestic backdrop, while vibrant flowers and soft green grass enhance the peaceful atmosphere. THE EISENHOWER TREE
This towering redwood is known for its resilience. In 1942, lightning struck and ignited its hollow trunk, burning out its heart, but a rainstorm saved it, leaving the tree standing despite losing 90 feet of its height. Once nicknamed “Old Stovepipe,” it was officially dedicated to President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1972 as a tribute to strength under fire. Today, the tree stands as a living symbol of endurance and history on the Villa Chanticleer grounds, and makes for a stunning portrait backdrop!
